How do we send digital scans?

Please follow this link to see specific instructions for your scanner: Submit a Digital Case

If you prefer using email, you can email STL files to steve@hatchdentallab.com

What if my night guard does not fit or doesn't have retention?

Please try it on the model.

If it fits the model correctly, but not in the mouth, then we will need new scans or impressions so we can remake it.

If it fits the model the same way it fits in the mouth, we can usually engage more undercuts and remake it without you sending anything back to us.

We don't need the night guard back if it doesn't fit correctly. Please don't spend too much of your chair time trying to make it work. We want your delivery to be smooth and easy. We will remake it for free if it is not fitting properly.

Can you reline digital dentures?

Our milled dentures can be relined like regular dentures. The 3D printed denture can be relined as well but they need to be reline with the manufacturer recommended material. The material we currently use to 3D Printed our dentures is the Lucitone Digital Denture System.

What is the difference between 3D Printed & milled Dentures

There are 3 main differences between 3D printed & Milled dentures - Milled dentures have increased aesthetics, strength, and fit.

Difference between milled premium & milled economy: milled premium have multi layered teeth.

Milled Premium Dentures: MOST POPULAR OPTION

High impact quality permanent dentures. Teeth are multilayered, giving them a beautiful and esthetic appearance. The multi-chromatic teeth have three layers in accordance with the natural model: incisal-dentin-cervical.

Milled Economy Dentures:

High impact quality permanent dentures. Made from a wear resistant and double cross-linked resin material. Teeth are not multi layered but still have natural fluorescence and optimal translucency.

3D Printed Dentures:

Uses Lucitone Digital Print Denture Sytem. They are a great inexpensive option.

What is the difference between milled and 3d printed Night Guards

3D Printed Night Guards are, by far, more popular than milled night guards for patient comfort and compliance reasons.

3D Printed Night Guard: MOST POPULAR OPTION

Our 3D printed night guards offer durable protection against bruxism with a comfortable wear. The material used it called KeySplint Soft but they are not soft and chewy like a rubbery night guard. They have enough flex to get over the undercuts and hold themselves in place, but are strong against bruxism.

Milled Night Guard:

Our clear PMMA night guards are hard and do not flex or give. They are indicated for patients with severe bruxism.

How do you design night guards?

We design them using 3Shape software. Our standard maxillary night guard is designed with balanced occlusion on the posteriors and an anterior guidance ramp. For a mandibular night guard, we design them in bilateral balanced occlusion. We have a minimum thickness of 1.6mm in the posterior.
