Using the custom tray and wax rim hybrid, establish the occlusal vertical dimension
Mark the midline and high lip line
Take a picture showing the patient's full face, wax rim(s)m, and the midline that was marked
Take a bite registration
Please, verify the bite is correct 3-5 times. If the bite is off at this step, the bite will be off at the next visit - resulting in another try-in.
Send back to Hatch Dental Lab:
Wax rim(s) and custom tray hybrid with the PVS inside (please do not pour up)
Bite registration
Email the picture
OR
You may also send us back the upper and lower records with your intraoral scanner. We will need a 360-degree scan showing the intaglio and outer surface all in one scan of the arches that dentures are being made for.
Scan the upper wax rim hybrid with the PVS material inside 360 degrees. Intaglio and outer surface should all be visible in 1 scan.
Scan the lower wax rim hybrid with the PVS material inside 360 degrees. Intaglio and outer surface should all be visible in 1 scan.
Put the upper and lower arch together using the bite registration you took chairside and take a bite scan.
If it is a single arch denture then we only need the 360-degree scan of the arch that is getting the full denture. The opposing arch is a normal intraoral scan of the patient's opposing teeth. You will then put the wax rim back in patient mouth to take the bite scan.
You will then send us your scans through your intraoral scanner portal.

REPLICATE A Digital Denture Instructions
Replicate Denture - 1ST APPOINTMENT
Replication is for a patient that has a denture they like and don't want any changes (except a new denture). This is a good option when the denture is breaking due to age or quality of the denture and the patient simply needs a new one to replicate the old one. Please note: this denture will replicate and not be an exact match to their denture. For this option, you will send us their existing denture (they will be without it for a few days due to shipping).
Paint the patient's denture(s) with tray adhesive
Put the PVS impression material in the denture and take the impression as if you are doing a reline
Do not seat the denture all the way with your fingers or the bite will be off. Seat the denture most of the way. If it is a single arch denture then we only need the 360 degree scan of the arch that is getting the full denture. The opposing arch is a normal intraoral scan of the patient's opposing teeth. You will then put the denture back in the patient's mouth to take the bite scan.
You will then send us your scans through your intraoral scanner portal.
